Danish Himalayan Society is an organisation arranging Danish expeditions to the Himalayas.
The Danish Himalayan Society was formed in 1994 after a successfull expedition to Broad Peak in the Karakoram range in Pakistan. DHS is an organisation build to sponsor member activities. Fees from lectures, books, magazine articles, movies etc. is directed against new activities in the high mountains.
Danish Himalayan Society focuses on members safe return from the mountains. No mountain is worth your life not even the outher joint of your little finger. Secondary goal is summit success.
